Today the world lost a star so bright and full of life that it’s hard to believe. And while on the outside, Robin Williams was brimming with humour and warmth, we learn today that inside he may have been losing a battle.
That’s right, Mrs Beckham has selected over 600 pieces from her personal wardrobe to auction on 20-25 August, including hats, shoes, bags, jewelry, designer ready-to-wear, costume pieces, coats, skiwear and evening dresses. (Let’s take a moment to contemplate the fact that she has 600 items to sell – I have serious wardrobe envy!) The designers of the items read like a veritable who’s who of the fashion world: Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Roland Mouret… the list goes on!
But let’s not forget this is for charity, and such a worthy one at that. The funds raised will help mothers2mothers’ Mentor Mothers reach even more HIV-positive mothers with critical health education and support, to stay healthy and protect their babies from HIV infection.
You need to register if you want the chance to take part in the auction. Watch the video below to learn more.
That’s right, the Wikileaks founder is going to make his catwalk debut for Ben Westwood (son of Vivienne, that is) during London Fashion Week in September.
Of course, that means the show has to take place within the walls of the Ecuadorian Embassy, where Assange has been living since the country granted him asylum.
Ben Westwood said the inspiration for the clothes in the show was Assange himself and his combat/beret look. Apparently one of the designs even features a “Julian Assange print”. Check out the designer modeling the collection (right).

In case you missed it (do you live under a rock? Or were you just using The Guardian’s republican view?), the Duchess was admitted to hospital early this morning.
Maternity clothing manufacturers might be lamenting the Duchess no longer being a walking billboard for their wares, but her old faithful brands will welcome her back with open arms.
The big question? Not what the littlest royal will be named, but what will his mother wear to face the hospital press pit tomorrow! Any thoughts?
UPDATE 23 July: The Duchess wore bespoke Jenny Packham – check out the gorgeous photo of the Cambridges (right).
