in the news: stella for target launches

October 29, 2010 in fashion, news

Well, ladies – it’s here! The new Stella McCartney for Target range launched today and down at the Brisbane CBD store, it was the usual madness one expects from a limited edition diffusion line release.

I tried on several pieces from the collection but ended up taking home only one piece – the off-white ribbon tie dress ($149 – photo right). I actually didn’t pay this one much attention when I was looking online but when I saw it in person, it was too gorgeous not to buy!

I’ve also got my eye on the off-white tulip shaped trench but at $249, I just can’t quite justify it right now. I’ll consider further over the weekend because unlike many of the other pieces, there are plenty of trenches left in store.

I found the fit across the range to be true to size (my usual Australian size 8 fit me right) but many of the styles were far too hippy for my slightly straighter shape. I had no joy with the pants or skirts, though the dresses and tops fit nicely.

Many stores received a second drop of clothes at lunchtime today and apparently there will be another before stores open tomorrow so if you’re lusting for a piece that was sold out today, don’t give up!
