gift idea #24: last minute gifts

It’s Christmas Eve and you still haven’t got your gifts sorted. Despite my fantastic help (if I do say so myself) throughout the whole of December, you still have no idea what to give everyone (click here for a refresher). Or perhaps you had an idea for a perfect present but due to dodgy shipping, it won’t turn up until mid-January (as the boy has apologetically informed me is the case with my present).
Whatever the reason, you’re now in the difficult situation of having absolutely nothing to give tomorrow morning and you’re freaking out. Well, dear reader, fear no more!
The perfect solution is the classic IOU – scroll back through the gift ideas, find one you like and create a little card with a picture of said gift and a loving little note.
Alternatively, you could create a voucher book. These don’t have to be the traditional sexy redeemable treats for your partner – for example, you could give your best girlfriend a book entitling her a gossipy coffee catch up, a girly movie and even a wine and tissues comfort session (only to be redeemed in case of emergency, of course).
Whatever you end up giving tomorrow, remember (corny at is sounds) that it really is the thought that counts. Now put those carols on and get wrapping!
