in the news: vanity fair hollywood issue

Vanity Fair has released a sneak peak of the cover for its 17th annual Hollywood issue (to coincide with the upcoming Academy Awards) and it looks fabulous – click on the photo to the right to see a larger version.

The speak-easy setting is complemented by some very stylish 20s-inspired outfits on some of the hottest young things in Hollywood.

On the front panel are Oscars hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco, along with the very easy-on-the-eye Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhall.

Inside are more up-and-coming stars of the silver screen: Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, screen legend Robert Duvall and Noomi Rapace. And a lion cub.

The cover was shot in New York (front page) and Los Angeles (inside pages) over two days by photographer Norman Jean Roy. If you’re wondering how they did it, Vanity Fair has put together a behind-the-scenes video.

What do you think of the end result?
