in the news: versace for h&m

Following the success of the Lanvin x H&M collaboration last year, the chain store has today announced its next designer partner will be Versace.

The collection will be designed by Donatella Versace and include women’s, men’s and home collections. According to H&M, Donatella looked back to the archives to reinterpret some classic Versace designs.

The approximately 40 piece women’s collection will be dominated by seasonal dresses featuring studded leather, silk and colorful print, with accessories including high heels and costume jewellery. The approximately 20 piece men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, and the home pieces will include cushions and a bedspread.

The Versace x H&M collection will be available in approximately 300 stores worldwide, as well as online stores where available, from 17 November 2011.

If that’s not enough, another pre-spring collaboration will be available exclusively in countries with online sales from 19 January 2011.
