lusting for: the duchess look
July 1, 2011 in fashion
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the former-Kate Middleton AKA HRH The Duchess of Cambridge’s style. Perhaps it’s because we have similar colouring and a shared love of blue tones and tailored outfits. Or perhaps it’s because I secretly get a thrill when she wears something that already lives in my closet.
Whatever the reason, I’m very excited to see what she wears on her first official tour of Canada this month.
I’m already madly in love with the gorgeous navy lace Erdem dress she wore to step off the plane in Ottawa (right). It’s from the 2012 Cruise collection and isn’t on sale yet – but I can guarantee it will fly off the racks when it lands.
Wearing that label was also a nice touch because designer Erdem Moralioglu is based in London but is a Canadian citizen. See, it shows a bridging of cultures as well as being fabulous!
And… end fawning (though I can’t promise there won’t be more as the tour progresses).
What do you think of the Duchess’ first look in Canada?

Oh, that dress is great! I love it too! sigh…the benefits of being royalty – a fantastic wardrobe.
@Carol – I secretly hope that one day the boy will tell me he’s a deposed prince and once we reclaim his throne, the sartorial benefits will be mine. A girl can dream, right?
Love that I stumbled upon your website. LOVE it
Plus we share the same name
@Yvonne – thanks for stopping by! It’s cool to “meet” somebody with the same name too – I’m sure it’s been quite exciting over in Ottawa with the royal visit!
