I love the concept of Pharrell’s new music video – it’s 24 hours of random people dancing down the street to his new song, Happy. Fortunately, it’s the kind of song you can listen to again and again, and it’s just so… happy!
There are some amazing dancers (my favourites are probably the swing dancing couple at 9.08am and Jimmy Kimmel giving a walk-through tour of his studio at 11.48am) and Pharrell himself shows up on the hour every hour.
The video will automatically start at whatever time it is for you where you’re watching but you can skip on through to any time you like. Enjoy – and get happy!
It’s time to get festive! It’s less than two weeks until Christmas and as I type, the snow is falling outside my window in big, fluffy flakes. If your weather is a little less conducive to a festive mood, the below clip ought to get you feeling merry and bright quick smart!
Jimmy Fallon grabbed The Roots, Mariah Carey, a few school kids and some toy instruments to put together a rousing, back-stage rendition of “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. It’s so much fun that you can help but feel happy!
2012 has been a huge year (hands up if you also started a new job and went back to school!) and from next week, I’ll be wrapping it up with The Dernier Cri’s traditional “best of” series. Make sure you check it out!

The most recent short film in Miu Miu’s Woman Tales series premiered tonight at the Venice Film Festival – so please excuse me for being a bit early with this week’s Friday film but I couldn’t wait to share it with you!
Directed by Iranian-American screenwriter and director, Massy Tadjedin, It’s Getting Late features an incredible cast – Parks and Recreation‘s Aubrey Plaza, former Bond-girl Gemma Arterton, Friends with Benefits‘ Patricia Clarkson and Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi. The film shows these four different women getting ready in their own way for a night out to hear Zola Jesus sing (I’ll admit I’d never heard of her before this film – but she’s amazing!)
It’s Getting Late is definitely my favourite film in Miu Miu’s series so far (remember the creepy Woman Dress one? No competition!) What do you think?
If you haven’t seen Kristen Stewart’s photoshoot in Vanity Fair yet, make sure you check it out. It’s one of the most beautifully shot editorials I’ve seen in a while (and with Mario Testino behind the lens, I’m not surprised!)
While it’s taken me a little while to warm up to her satrorial choices, I can’t help but be impressed by how at home Stewart looks in the gorgeous couture gowns in the shoot.
