in the news: h&m conscious glamour collection

March 22, 2012 in fashion, news

Remember a couple of months ago when Michelle Williams turned up on the BAFTAs red carpet wearing (shock, horror) H&M? Well, it turns out her outfit actually comes from the retailer’s new Exclusive Glamour Conscious Collection. That’s right – red carpet just got affordable!

I’m really excited by this announcement. As you may remember from last week’s Downton Abbey fashion inspiration post, I have been lamenting the lack of opportunities to dress up in modern society but if even H&M is on the glamour train, I can only conclude that formalwear is making a comeback!

The collection is part of H&M’s conscious line, meaning all the pieces are made from more sustainable materials such as organic cotton and hemp as well as recycled polyester.

Items range in price from €24.95 for tuxedo shorts (as worn by Amanda Seyfried) to €299 for a limited edition cotton/silk gown (above centre).

H&M’s Exclusive Glamour Conscious Collection will be available from 12 April in approximately 100 stores worldwide. Select looks will also be available online.

in the news: the entire marni x h&m collection

February 20, 2012 in fashion

H&M have released images of the full Marni for H&M collection and it’s all truly gorgeous!

Leah Chernikoff from Fashionista attended the launch party on Friday night and she’s said that everything is of such good quality, it looks and feels like real Marni. If that’s the case, I can’t wait to get my mitts all over it!

My favourite pieces from the lookbook include the Dotty sundress (right – 79.95EUR), the peacock-inspired circle skirt (79.95EUR) and the flower necklaces (29.95EUR).

Check out the whole lookbook from H&M and let me know – what are you most excited about?
