Spring has sprung, my friends, can you believe it? The trees have buds, tulips are overflowing in the stores and I am overcome with a desire to deck myself out in pastels and florals (sometimes at the same time!)
While Miranda Priestly may be sarcastic about florals for spring, I’m more than happy to wear prints so flowery that they could trigger my boyfriend’s hayfever.
One gorgeous frock I saw today is actually a bridesmaid dress from BHLDN but it’s too pretty be worn for just one day. The impressionist florals in delicate candy colours couple with the bubble hem and detailed bodice for a fresh look perfect for any spring party.
The In Full Bloom Dress cost $400 from BHLDN and can be bought online or in store.

I’m beginning to wonder if Pinterest is really such a good thing. Not only do I lose hours of my life looking at pretty pictures but I seem to find a whole lot more items that I “need”.
One such discovery is the Robin Piccone ‘Penelope’ Crochet Overlay One Piece Swimsuit (right). It’s the perfect combination between a bikini and a “cover-my-pasty-white-belly-that-consumed-too-much-fondue-during-the-winter-because-I-live-in-Switzerland-dammit” one piece.
It’s available from Nordstrom (which conveniently now ships worldwide) for US$130 plus shipping. Now we just need to wait for the weather to warm up a little more so that we can show off our new swimwear!
In the mean time, feel free to amuse yourself on The Dernier Cri’s Pinterest page.
