the queen’s jubilee = british sales!

May 31, 2012 in fashion

This weekend marks the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and to celebrate, many of my favourite British retailers are putting on some smashing deals. Here are a few I know about – if you know of any more, leave a comment!

Anthropologie: It’s not a British brand but shoppers using the EU site get the benefit of 30% off a selection of tea-party appropriate items until Tuesday. My pick is the Inkjet Halter Dress (now €126.40) or, if you can pull it off, the sunny Cascading Waves Dress (now €176.80).

ASOS: Our favourite British online retailer is offering 20% off selected brands until 9am Wednesday. There are so many items to choose from, including a range of British inspired items like Motel’s Union Jack Dress (right).

Dorothy Perkins: The cheap and cheerful high street store is offering up to 30% off everything. My favourite bargain is the Blue Butterfly Shift Dress (now £25.20)

Reiss: A favourite of the newest royal, Reiss is offering 10% off everything today only. Even better, the discount coincides with the addition of some new sale stock as well as the free shipping offer. I’ve already snapped up the gorgeous Rita Dress (now £95.40).

Whistles: Another of the Duchess’ picks is currently offering 20% off dresses. The Clara Lace Pleated Dress (now €185) would be perfect for high tea.

Keep calm and carry on? Not likely with these bargains! Happy shopping!

lusting for: the outnet clearance

March 13, 2012 in fashion

I love a good sale and for the next seven days, The Outnet is having a fabulous one!

It’s a good chance to pick up some great quality wardrobe staples for a reasonable price, as well as pick up some trend pieces for pennies (well, close enough).

One of my favourite finds are these gorgeous teal Kella suede peep-toe ankle boots by Calvin Klein. They’re down from €563.92 to €90.01, offering a whopping 85% saving.

The Outnet ships internationally for a maximum cost of £16.50. With even international delivery in 2-3 days, you could have a great new designer outfit for this weekend!

lusting for: asos sale

April 4, 2011 in fashion

I do love a good mid-season sale and ASOS is pulling out all the stops. Whatever your closet currently requires, I can practically guarantee it’s on sale.

I generally find ASOS to be a little overwhelming (there are currently over 2000 dresses on sale!) but if you know what you want, it’s much easier.

For example, I’m currently on the lookout for a cute print dress for spring. I think the Corrine dress by Whistles (one of future Princess Catherine’s favourite high street brands) would be perfect, with its fresh black and white tribal print punctuated with dashes of blue.

It’s currently on sale for £80.00 (down from £125.00) and you can pay in 10 different currencies – meaning no pesky foreign exchange fees! Standard international shipping is also free so it’s a great deal. Where’s my credit card?

gift idea #21: the anthro addict

December 21, 2010 in fashion

Ok, I’ll admit up front that this is more of a “lusting for” post than a “gift ideas” post but I know I’m not the only Anthropologie addict out there so there’s a good chance somebody on your list is too.

In exciting news, the Anthropologie tag sale (that’s code for semi-annual sale) starts today! Expect to find lots of clothes, accessories, shoes and bags reduced online and in stores. It’s perfect timing if you left your shopping to the last minute. Check out Roxy’s Effortless Anthropologie blog for the full sale list.

Who wouldn’t love to find the adorable Love Me, Love Me Not Necklace under the tree on Saturday morning? It’s cute, oh so stylish and only costs $48 (pending sale prices). If it’s not right for your special somebody, you’re sure to find something that is given pretty much everything will be on sale!

If you’re shopping for an Anthro addict (including yourself), remember:
- There’s an additional 25% off sale items for a limited time.
- Order by 10am EST on Wednesday to receive standard shipped parcels by Friday.
- Overnight orders cost $15 and must be placed by 10am EST on Thursday.
- All US orders over $75 will receive complimentary Standard Shipping until 10am EST on Thursday.

Happy shopping!
