gift idea #12: the lego lover

December 12, 2011 in entertainment

My boyfriend’s little brother is really into Lego so every year, we just buy him a different set.

This year, I was having a look around to see if there were any other options and I stumbled across these cute Lego date planners.

They’re not technically Lego but they’re “Lego-inspired” silicone covers that you can reuse year after year. You can even move around the little coloured pieces to create a closure.

The diary comes in a range of colours and while most stockists seem to be in China (great if you’re there, not so good for Christmas postage if you’re not), you can also purchase it for AU$54.95 from Australian retailer Top 3 by Design – not cheap, but neither is Lego these days!

gift idea #11: secret santa stationary

December 11, 2010 in fashion

I always find my office Secret Santa gift to be one of the most difficult to buy – inevitably I get somebody I barely know and the $10 spending limit makes it so tough!

Usually, I’ll opt for some form of funky stationary – I’ve found Typo has some great ideas (such as expletive laden bulldog clips for the office potty mouth or travel diaries for the travel bug).

I also like Knock Knock’s range of notepads. Depending on who you’re buying for, you can get a high five pad, a great job pad or the make a decision pad (right). You can buy them from Modcloth for $3.99 – $7.99.

Remember the best part about Secret Santa is that nobody knows who gave who what, so focus your gift-energy on those people who do know!
